I started Cabinet Renew after more than 20 years working in the cabinet and finishing trade, originally learning the craft alongside my father in his company, The Refinished Artist. Over the years, I developed a deep appreciation for the transformation that quality refinishing can bring to a home—taking something worn and outdated and turning it into something beautiful again.

What inspired me to start my own business was the desire to take that experience and do things my own way, with a strong focus on craftsmanship, honesty, and attention to detail. I take pride in doing the job right the first time and treating every project like it’s in my own home.

What sets my company apart is experience, preparation, and pride in the details. With over 20 years in the trade, I’ve learned that a long-lasting, professional finish doesn’t come from shortcuts—it comes from doing the prep work right, using the right materials, and taking the time to make sure every surface is properly treated before finishing begins. I approach every project as if it were in my own home, and I don’t consider the job done until the finish is smooth, consistent, and built to last.

I also believe communication and honesty matter just as much as craftsmanship. I take the time to explain the process so customers know exactly what to expect, and I stand behind the quality of my work.
